“We lost our baby girl Maisie last year and nothing can prepare you for the pain and heartache that losing a child leaves, but somehow you have to carry on and make arrangements to put your child to rest at what is already a tiring, sad and stressful time. You then have to find a substantial amount of money to give that child the funeral and headstone they deserve.
No one can prepare themselves for this as it is not something you expect to have to do; we managed with the help of family and friends to give baby Maisie the send off she deserved. However my partner and I were at our wits’ end trying to make ends meet and get through day to day life. We were both out of work owing to the stress of losing our
much loved daughter; how on earth were we meant to find the money to get the headstone we wanted? This is where The Joseph Salmon Trust stepped in. They gave us a much needed grant which enabled us to pay for the beautiful headstone we had our hearts set on.
We cannot thank The Joseph Salmon Trust enough for the kindness and generosity they show to families going through such a hard time in their lives. We will be doing our very best to help them in any way we can to keep this fantastic charity going in memory of Joseph Salmon.”
