Casino Night kicks off with success as Joseph Salmon Trust hits the charity fundraising jackpot. With outstanding support for the fifth annual Vegas themed event, wholesale jerseys the guests were set for a real treat. A friendly greeting at the door by the trusts founders, Mr and Mrs Salmon sporting fun stickers of Joseph’s little face, an order of the evening and six chips – five £10 chips and one £50 chip. And you could buy more chips to increase your pot, yet no gravy included.

Music playing in the background as you make way to the bar area, cheap nfl jerseys where you discover a bright young woman, Anna Geary, singing away with one extraordinary voice.  The equally talented guitarist, Andy Millar, accompanied Geary, adding an acoustic spellbinding sound, both setting the tone nicely.

In a true Yorkshire fashion, a ‘reet’ good time was definitely had by all, raising over £1000 during the event. Many posed for a pound with a fun photo booth curiosity of Anna Wood photography. Props included.

The Huddersfield community coming together to cook up a storm with ten slow cookers bubbling away. Offering various recipes of chilli con carne and fiery chicken curry and a side of soft pitta bread to soak up the juicy goodness. The Joseph Salmon Trust did not take a gamble on the food and the Chefs’ for the evening were working their magic with all the diners under their spell. The dessert was no pot luck either and if you have a sweet tooth, the gooey centred brownies were specially baked for the event. One word, heavenly! Vanilla custard filled doughnuts sprinkled with sugar also hit the spot.

Compère Dave Laidlaw caused fits of laughter by doing his best Brian Potter impression. Rolling out the gags and keeping all entertained through the course of the night. The roulette table was mainly managed by Eve Salmon, 7, and Lydia Salmon, 10, was keeping order with the food grazers. The black jack dealer donned his table, raking in the house winnings.

The event success was thanks to our much valued sponsors: Grosvenor Casino, Huddersfield, Hilton Hotels, Recoco and the March Liberal Club. Also, to the people who helped make the event an all round brilliant experience.

Many did not come away with much money left in their pockets, which is what is suppose to happen when one is gambling, right? All the cash raised goes straight to where it is needed most, the families supported by the Joseph Salmon Trust. So, practice those poker faces and betting strategies, until next time!
